I originally qualified as an engineer and worked in the defense and aerospace industries designing safety-critical software. Later on, I trained as an English teacher and taught English in China for 3 years. I became interested in bodywork after having treatment following a road injury.
I enjoy off road cycling and when I am not in the clinic, you can usually find me in Wales, Sutton Park or Cannock Chase on my mountain bike.
My personal treatment approach
I view remedial massage as the foundation of most treatment, supplemented by other mobilization techniques and acupuncture where necessary. I usually perform a whole body massage incorporating specific treatment for injuries where appropriate. I also incorporate yoga stretches into my treatments. This tends to make my treatments more integrated and most of the feedback I receive indicates that this approach is very well received by clients.
